Welcome Fall

September 22nd officially marks the first day of Fall! This is my favorite time of year. Although I love Autumn . Denise loves Halloween so much I decided a few years ago to decorate for her. And the clients love it too!

Thanks to my friend Lynda Danna at 1st Residential Funding for inspiring us with the scents of the season courtesy of everyone’s favorite candle shop Bath and Body works. I found these festive placemats at Big Lots.

When designing the salon I chose a neutral palate for all year then adding color for each seasonal holiday, and there’s many thanks to Target . Everything is pretty much grey on grey with a bit of white. So when Halloween comes the salon goes black. This year the black bat curtains went up mid August. Last year we had them up for only 2 weeks before Halloween so they must have been on the slow boat from China because they took so long! We loved them so much they stayed until January.

Since this was such a crazy year Denise and I decided there was no better time than now to start decorating for Halloween (this was said in August lol)..! Wishing everyone much peace love & beautiful nails this harvest season of 2020! XO

Violet Fall

Although not officially Fall until September 22 or sweater weather yet down south, here in Central Flpride we are definitely seeing signs! Deep plum, dark burgundy , rich cognac & shimmering red, feelings of Fall are being celebrated by these beautiful shades. In just one week of having a bottle of our favorite color (can’t tell ya but I’ll show you at your appointment!) it’s almost gone from so many requests!

Long nails are strong with HARD GEL!

I smile when I look at this photo.. 10 years ago Julie came to me as a nail biter wanting Tammy Taylor pink and white acrylic… After years of trusting me she can beautifully display her gorgeous and long natural nails with pride!

It’s been 7 years since I decided to changed all of my ladies over to hard gel … and most were skeptical of the strength of hard gel. See, when people say “gel” they immediately think of “gel polish”. That’s not what I do. Well, the color is but the structure and strength of everyone’s nails ARE NOT.

Since the June release of Crystal Nails new “Xtreme Superior” clear builder gel I have noticed an extremely improved difference in the strength of my clients natural nails underneath their hard gel overlay. Feeling blessed

Look at this beautiful bracelet! I just love it!!! Thank you so much Andreaina XO… I feel energized by wearing these stones on my wrist. Being a nail tech means much more than just doing someone’s nails. In my profession I feel lucky to have the opportunity of building such loving relationships with so many incredible woman…

Andreina and her daughter Andrea starting coming in 2017 before I was “officially” open. Even though I was working secretly here in the salon I spoke with them and decided to book their appointments. Sometimes you just get a good vibe about people even though you’ve never met! So after 100 questions & giving them the “secret knock” they were here and quickly we developed a friendship.

I’m so proud of Andreina Ledezma and her daughter Andrea! They just opened their first location of The Tutoring Center of Oviedo just down the street from Nails Done Right. With so many people deciding to home school their children during the pandemic they are quickly building a full teaching academy. And with many years of teaching between the two of them they are sure to enlighten many youngsters in our community.

Fall ready…

Denise and I have been so busy getting ready for Fall.. With Summer a bust we decorated for Halloween 3 weeks ago just to boost everyone’s spirits .

The door is gone! We scheduled a family day visit and Mark drywalled up the door to nowhere. Everyone’s comment “there was a door there?!” Lol. Yep, and now it’s gone. It looks so good! Thank you little brother .

Since the shelves had to come down for the door rehab I took that as an opportunity to flip the shelves. Flips the shelves you say, yes. Somewhere on social media I saw a post of these same IKEA shelves flipped up so the bottom of the shelf is now smooth and the polish bottles are in full view. It was a much bigger job than I initially intended but the results are fabulous! So fabulous I decided to invest in a whole new polish line! OMG, yes! I’m so OCD..

The colors are beautiful.. Queen of Grapes is this week’s favorite, a deep rich metallic plum. Nova Magenta is my personal favorite, a bright iridescent fuchsia!

As the months pass and the seasons change there’s one thing that stays the same… we, Denise and I, continue to brighten your spirits and make Oviedo more beautiful 10 nails at a time! We love you girls…. and happy Fall y’all….
